Novartis, Forms
We tested three different forms to identify the best design for a “discussion guide” for patients. This guide, available as a printout or PDF, is meant to facilitate conversations with their healthcare provider about a specific drug.
Auto-scrolling Form
This form auto advanced to the next question after each question was asked.
Long Scroll Forms
This was just one looong form.
Stepped Form
This form was designed to feel less burdensome by incorporating a stepper at the top, enabling users to see their progress and understand how many steps remain.
To my surprise, the most preferred form was the long form. Users appreciated being able to see everything on one page, allowing them to answer questions quickly. They valued the psychological comfort of having all questions visible at once without anything being hidden.
